Dear ET&S Authors, Reviewers and Readers
In year 1998, the Educational Technology & Society journal was created with a specific aim: to provide a forum for an open access scientific dialogue on the issues affecting the developers of educational systems and educators who use and manage such systems. In the past eighteen years, the journal has seen immense progress in the field. Thanks to all of you, the journal has enjoyed tremendous success.
The field has very much matured, and time has come when we can truly say that the ET&S journal has accomplished what it aimed to do. The communities of the educational system developers and their end users are now very much in sync with each other and several channels for open access scientific publications are now in place.
Although, we could continue ET&S journal indefinitely, we feel that this will add little extra value to what we had set up to achieve. As a result, ET&S will stop accepting new submissions, effective immediately. This would not affect any already submitted articles. Those articles would undergo usual rigorous review process and once accepted, will be published in future issues. This would also not have any effect on special issues already in progress and even those that have been announced. All those will be published as planned. Furthermore, all past and future ET&S issues will remain online.
We would like to thank everyone for their kind and loving support over the years, and look forward to collaborating with you in other exciting opportunities.
